Widow Re-marriage Scheme
The scheme aims to support the rehabilitation of widows by encouraging marriage through a monetary incentive. It provides a grant to bona fide Himachali men (above 21 years) and women (above 18 years) at the time of marriage.
What you get
If any widow re-marries, a cheque of ₹ 20,000/- is given to the women and a Fix Deposit worth ₹ 30,000/- for the 5 years term is given to the couple.
Who can apply
- The widow should have remarried.
- The applicant should be a resident of Himachal Pradesh.
- Groom should not be less than 21 years of age
- Women should not be less than 18 years of age.

Offline
Step 1: Visit the CDPO (Child Development Project Officer) office and collect the application form. Step 2: Fill out the form with required details and attach all necessary documents. Step 3: Submit the completed application form at the CDPO office for verification and further processing.
